Peterborough drill rig removal set for May 17-18

The Town of Peterborough and state Department of Transportation announced plans to close Route 202 in Peterborough May 17-18 to allow righting of the overturned drill rig at the Main Street Bridge project.

Traffic will be diverted to Route 101 and Route 137 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.; Route 202 will reopened for traffic each night. Detour signs will be posted along the route. 

The 90-ton Soilmec drilling rig overturned on April 22.
