Bellows-Nichols Agency and Co-operative Insurance Companies awarded a $1,000 gift to Hillsborough County 4-H. The gift, awarded as part of co-op’s community grants program, will be used for scholarships for teens within Hillsborough County to attend skill-building and leadership programs offered by 4-H.

“We’re so pleased to support Hillsborough County 4-H with this grant,” stated Bellows-Nichols President Tim McMahon.

“The programs and workshops offered through 4-H for members and teens will have a lifelong impact. Bellows-Nichols employees also supported this contribution through our Blue Jeans Friday Charitable Giving program.”

“I am excited and proud to partner with the Bellows-Nichols Agency and Co-operative Insurance Companies as I value this investment into today’s youth,” stated Hillsborough County 4-H Program Manager Eric McCambly.

Co-operative Insurance Companies’ Community Grants Program was established in 2004 to assist with community projects across Vermont and New Hampshire. Through this program, co-op partners with its agents and directors to provide funds for capital campaigns and operational support throughout the two states. Hillsborough County 4-H was one of six to receive a community grant from Co-operative Insurance Companies in 2024.

Hillsborough County 4-H has been in existence for nearly 70 years and provides opportunities and access through a range of life skills and programs in animal science, agri-sciences, horticulture, citizenship, teen leadership, healthy living, outdoor education, natural resources and STEM through caring volunteer mentors. More than 480 members and 120 volunteers make up Hillsborough County 4-H.

Bellows-Nichols Agency has offices in Peterborough and Antrim and has represented Co-Operative Insurance since 2010.
