The Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a storefront decorating contest as a fun way to celebrate the holiday season, create a festive and beautiful downtown, attract visitors to downtown Peterborough, and showcase downtown businesses.

Eligible businesses must be located in downtown Peterborough between the boundaries of South Meadow School on Route 202, West Peterborough Union Street, Monadnock Plaza, and the intersection of Old Street Road and 101.

To be eligible, businesses must be locally owned or independently operated, and clearly visible from the sidewalk.

A registration must be submitted to participate. Participants may either complete and return their application by completing the online form on PeterboroughChamber.com, or dropping off a hard copy at the Chamber office at 10 Wilton Road, or email to sryan@peterboroughchamber.com

To be eligible for prizes, businesses must register by Nov. 30.

Between Dec. 1 and Dec. 11, a panel of judges will be making the rounds and selecting the winners.

In addition, this year there will be a People’s Choice award, with the winner based on reactions to the photos that will be displayed on the Chamber’s Facebook page.

Winners will be announced during the week of December 11.
