Franklin Pierce University has announced the appointment of Heather LaDue as Executive Director of Professional Programs and Partnerships.

LaDue brings more than 20 years of workforce partnership development experience to her role, most recently as the Director of Strategic Partnerships at Southern New Hampshire University. Previously, she was the Channel Partner Executive for SmartBooks in Concord, Massachusetts, and she managed teams of financial and business consultants for Patina Solutions in Greater Boston. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Plymouth State University and is pursuing her Master of Organizational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University.

The Executive Director of Professional Programs and Partnerships is a new position that supports the university’s recent academic reorganization and launch of the College of Business, the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, and the College of Health and Natural Sciences. Notably, LaDue’s new role also reflects Franklin Pierce’s commitment to be a positive force and economic driver that provides employers with a source of exceptional talent ‒ connecting them with prepared students and graduates and creating opportunities for their employees to develop new skills.

Reporting to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, LaDue is responsible for the continuing excellence and expansion of the University’s online programs, and for new academic initiatives.

“Heather LaDue’s experience and enthusiasm will help establish a strong municipal and business workforce presence for Franklin Pierce University. We are committed to building robust regional and national partnerships that provide mutual benefits for our students, employers, and their employees in a wide range of industries, including distribution and manufacturing, healthcare, government and nonprofits, financial services, and technology,” said Dr. David Starrett, interim provost and vice president for academic affairs.

“I’m excited to work with this forward-looking administration to build fruitful connections with businesses and community organizations in New Hampshire and Arizona, where our campus and centers are located,” said LaDue. “Higher education is evolving and I’m delighted to expand Franklin Pierce’s collaboration with employers to close the skills gap and improve the lives of students and employees.”

In addition to her professional experience, LaDue brings an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for lifelong learning. LaDue is chair of #TechWomen, a NH Tech Alliance initiative focused on building a strong community of female professionals enthusiastic about technology.

LaDue will represent the university administration to the broader business and professional communities and will create new partnerships, enhance current partnerships, and increase the visibility of Franklin Pierce University. To explore opportunities for collaboration, she can be contacted at ladueh@franklinpierce.edu.
