Chamber awards dinner upcoming

The Greater Hillsborough Chamber of Commerce announces this year’s nominees in the following categories: Citizen of the Year, Employee of the Year, and Business of the Year. Nominees will be celebrated and the winners chosen at the chamber’s annual dinner to be held on April 7 at the American Legion.

The event doors open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance by Monday, April 3 or $35 at the door. Proceeds benefit the work of the chamber and also the annual scholarship fund and the Hillsborough Reborn and beautification projects.

The nominees for Citizen of the Year are Kathy and Ray Dozois and Ellen and Richard Harbour.

The sole nominee for Employee of the Year in 2017 is Michael Pon, who has worked for the Villager since 2004 and he has become a one man gang as the paper’s major reporter and photographer for news and features.

The nominees for Business of the Year, faced very stiff competition with a total of six nominees. The nominees are: Bank of New Hampshire, Bara Dental, Hillsboro House Nursing Home, Stonewall Farm B&B, Topper’s Salon and Wall Street Gym.

The Greater Hillsborough Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to congratulate all the 2017 nominees.
