The annual Jaffrey firefighters breakfast and open house is scheduled for this Sunday, Oct 3 at the Jaffrey Fire Station. Jaffrey firefighter and event co-chair Lt. Andy Baranowski said he hopes the community will come together for the long-time event.
“Hoping to bring community feel back that we’ve missed for over a year,” Baranowski said.
The event, which kicks off fire prevention week, will feature a breakfast buffet cooked and served by the firefighters, along with appearances from Smokey Bear and NH Conservation Officers. Admission is $6 for children 11 and under, $7 for those over 62, and $8 for adults. All proceeds will go towards the Jaffrey Fire Company, which raises money for purchases that fall outside of the town’s budget.
Previous fundraising efforts have gone towards new equipment, such as new rescue trucks. The servers will be wearing masks and following COVID protocols, but are understanding if some are hesitant to attend.
The event is planned from 6 to 11 a.m. at the Jaffrey Fire Department, 138 Turnpike Road.
