The Mason Zoning Board of Adjustment met at the town office Monday to finalize its decision allowing seasonal outdoor entertainment at Marty’s Driving Range.

The board voted last Wednesday in a split decision to grant a special exemption allowing the site to host concerts in the summer.

According to Zoning Board Chair Bill Fritz, town law dictates that the board must make decisions public within 144 hours of the vote, so it had to have a special meeting to approve its final ruling before that window ended.

“We had to craft a written notice of decision,” he said.

The board voted unanimously to finalize the plan, which will now be sent to the applicant (Marty’s), as well as the planning board, board of selectmen, town clerk and on file in the town office.

It will also be posted by the webmaster on the town website.

No new conditions were applied at the meeting.

Requests and recommendations about defining measurements and locations in the site plan were made for the planning board’s review, which is the next step in the process.
