Peterborough: Bank fraud suspect at large

The case of man suspected of stealing money using a fraudulent passport at People’s United Bank last Friday is under investigation according to Peterborough Police.

Police report that a suspect entered the bank on Main Street at 3:48 p.m. last Friday afternoon, presented a fraudulent passport and was able to obtain an undisclosed amount of money from another account.

The suspect left the bank on foot and was picked up in what is believed to be a blue 2018 or newer Toyota Camry SE. According to a press release the vehicle does not have a front plate.

After leaving the bank in Peterborough, the suspect attempted to obtain money in Jaffrey and from Keene People’s United Bank but was unsuccessful.

If anyone recognizes this individual or the vehicle, Peterborough Police ask that you contact them.
