Letter: Thanks for support to MATS

The Board of the Monadnock Area Transitional Shelter (MATS) would like to thank the following businesses which contributed raffle items to benefit the Steven Fund at a recent fundraising picnic in Greenfield: The Knot Hole Woodcrafts (Jim and Lynn Thibodeau), Napa Auto Parts, Bowling Acres, Brady’s American Bar & Grill, Salon Exodus, Hamlin Auto, Bean Group (Sue Duffy), Yen Yen, Act Audio Manchester (James Smith), Monadnock Oil and Vinegar, MJD Photography (Martha Duffy), Our Town Kennel. The following individuals donated raffle items: the Griffing family, Carrie Gregorich, Nick and Martha Duffy, and David Duffy.

Food for the picnic was generously donated by Nature’s Classroom (Rocky Jordan) and Brady’s American Bar & Grill (Barry York).

The mission of MATS is to provide transitional housing, support and referral services to people who are homeless, to educate our community on the issues of homelessness, and to advocate for solutions.The money raised at this first annual event will be used to support the children at the Shelter in summer camp programs and extra-curricular activities. The Steven Fund is named in memory Steven Pearson of Peterborough, who passed away last February.
