Northern Pass would hurt tribesmen

To the editor:

What's missing from the debate on Northern Pass Hydro Quebec makes electricity by flooding rivers with massive dams. The Northern Pass international transmission line would bring the electricity from those dams to Massachusetts through the Granite State, but you don't hear about the impact these projects have on the indigenous people living around the flooded areas. The First Nation Pessamit Innu from Quebec are coming to tell you their first hand accounts of those impacts on their traditional territory, their community, the river, the wildlife and their future. Hosted by the New Hampshire Sierra Club. Join us and members of the Pessamit Innu on Wednesday, July 19, 7 p.m. at the Nashua Public Library auditorium, 2 Court St, Nashua.
