Milford gallery welcomes Sharon Arts Center artists and patrons

To the editor:

Longtime landscape and pastel artist Betsy Craumer here, offering to my fellow artists and patrons impacted by the closure of the Sharon Arts Center a new home at my venue – Creative Ventures Gallery, 411 Nashua St., in Milford.

My gallery offers six brightly lighted studios, open for rental when available, along with spacious classroom areas and plenty of wall space where works in many media are exhibited upon their creation during classes at CVG.

The location of CVG on Nashua Street, a main road around a mile east of the famous Milford Oval, makes it an easy destination for anyone in the Monadnock Region. Artists from many towns come to CVG to draw, oil paint, and sculpt, or perfect their watercolor, pastel and acrylic techniques. Printmaking and Zentangle instruction also is available.

A First Friday program and a Second Saturday event at CVG are popular and many feature workshops, demonstrations and artist talks. In addition, a staff of expert artists enjoys teaching classes to practitioners ranging from teens to elders.

An upcoming Student Art Show & Sale, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., on Saturday, July 13, will surely offer an attraction not to be missed. Visitors are welcome at any time as indicated online (creativeventuresfineart.com) and I look forward to extending my heartfelt hospitality to all my fellow artists and to those who love art.

Betsy Craumer
