Hillsborough County Superior Court North December indictments

Several locals were indicted in the Hillsborough Superior Court North in December.

Matthew Brunt, 40, of Hillsborough was indicted on a charge of second degree assault for allegedly punching his intimate partner in the abdomen on Sept. 18 in Lyndeborough, causing her to suffer a laceration to her spleen. The charge is a Class B felony punishable by three-and-a-half to seven years in prison and a fine of $4,000.

Eric Earle, 23, of Greenville was indicted on charges of attempted second degree assault and second degree assault for allegedly strangling a woman around the neck in September 2018 in Manchester. Both charges are Class B felonies punishable by three-and-a-half to seven years in prison and a fine of $4,000.

Chapin Rajaniemi, 28, of Antrim was indicted on a charge of possession of controlled drugs for allegedly possessing fentanyl in Manchester on Sept. 17. The charge is a Class B felony punishable by three-and-a-half to seven years in prison and a fine of $25,000.

Jason Tweedy, 41, of Merrimack was indicted on charges of conduct after accident, second degree assault, reckless conduct and domestic violence for allegedly driving his Ford pickup truck at his domestic partner, striking her and causing her to break her leg on Oct. 6 in Bennington. The charges are Class B felonies punishable by three-and-a-half to seven years in prison and a fine of $4,000.

An indictment is a formal accusation against an individual suspected of committing a crime. It is not an indication of guilt or innocence.
