Locals indicted on felony charges

Several locals were indicted by the Hillsborough Superior Court – South in September.

James Goddard, 57, of Temple, was indicted on charge of aggravated felonious sexual assault – pattern sexual assault, for allegedly touching the breasts of a female under 16 years old on a number of occasions in Hancock between March 20, 2014 and July 1, 2015. The charge is a Class S felony and is punishable by 10 to 20 years in prison and a $4,000 fine, if convicted. 

Michael Beauchamp, 52, of Antrim was indicted on charges of burglary and theft by unauthorized taking – stolen firearm for allegedly entering a Peterborough residence and taking two firearms, a Browning 243 and a Remington 870, between April 1 and May 19, 2017.

The burglary charge is a Class B felony, punishable by three-and-a-half years in prison and a $4,000 fine; the theft charge is a Class A felony and carries a sentence of seven-and-a-half to 15 years in prison and a $4,000 fine.

Rachel O’Dell, 32, of Antrim was indicted on a charge of possession of a controlled drug for allegedly possessing a quantity of fentanyl in Hillsborough on June 15. The charge is a Class A felony and is punishable by seven-and-a-half to 15 years in prison and a $50,000 fine.

Ashley Roy, 30, of Antrim was indicted on a charge of possession of a controlled drug for allegedly possessing a quantity of methamphetamine in Hillsborough on June 18. The charge is punishable by seven-and-a-half to 15 years in prison and a $4,000 fine.

Erica Small, 31, of Greenfield was indicted on a charge of operating after certification as a habitual offender for allegedly driving a vehicle on Old Bennington Road in Greenfield on June 5. The charge is a Class B felony and is punishable by two-and-a-half to five years in prison. 

An indictment is a formal accusation against an individual suspected of committing a crime. It is not an indication of guilt or innocence.
