Letter: Trump spreads more false news

Here we go again, with the latest finger pointed at former President Donald Trump for him to turn himself into the legal system. Saturday, I stopped at a small country store for information and a television was running FOX News. The reporters were saying all these charges had no truth to them. Say what?

Here we are with charges that Trump's men have served time for committing and he is innocent of all these claims once again. Who is pulling the strings at the top, making these ongoing statements of his innocence and the general public is inundated with this false news? Then the public falls in lockstep following the man of false news as if he is the Pied Piper, with many of the voters and many of the Republican Party mesmerized to oblivion.

Trump, according to NPR, is a private citizen and no longer president. However, he acts like he is sitting in the White House, and cannot be charged with any crimes as he is not one of us. Sounds to me like he feels he is the president and not just saying the election was stolen from him. Remember, while sitting in the White House, he denied any allegations against him and he continues that stance, no matter where he sits or what status he does or does not own.
