Campbell knocks out ConVal volleyball

The fourth-seeded Conval Cougars hosted the No. 5 Campbell Cougars Thursday in the second round of the playoffs, and Campbell came out on top by a 3-2 margin.

Campbell took the first set 25-20, but ConVal won the next two set by scores of 25-21 and 25-19. Campbell took the 4th set 25-22. The teams were tied 8-8 in the final set before ConVal made two errors receiving serve and were unable to catch back up and Campbell took the set 15-10.

Ivy Armstrong-McEvoy led ConVal with 18 kills, five blocks, four aces, and 14 digs. Senior captain Emma Rodenhiser had 16 kills, three blocks, seven digs and an ace. Ashlynn Williams had five kills, 11 digs and two aces, and setter senior captain Aria Laurent had 20 assists and nine digs. Zadie Marshall added 15 assists, 23 digs and two kills, and Brynn Frosch had four kills and four aces. 

The Cougars finished the season with the best record in school history at 14-4.
