Letter: Postal Service fails RiverMead residents

Published: 12-28-2023 10:53 AM

Instead of the 300 residents of RiverMead getting mail late after dinner, on Tuesday, Dec. 19, ( a day the Ledger-Transcript publishes), we got no mail at all.

Most Peterborough USPS customers get mail in the daylight, even in December. We don’t. It seems to me “old people ” such as we residents, are more apt to need “snail mail” and are less users of electronic communication. We are therefore more dependent on USPS than the average Peterborough resident. Especially at this time of holiday when some of us can’t be at family gatherings, it is important to rely on the Postal Service, which, in my opinion, has failed the 300 Peterborough residents of RiverMead miserably.
