Homeyer to speak at Peterborough Garden Club

The Peterborough Garden Club will host speaker Henry Homeyer Monday, April 8, from 10:30 to noon at Shieling Forest State Park, Learning Center, 395 Old Street Road, Peterborough.

Homeyer is a lifelong organic gardener, and writes a weekly gardening column that appears in 12 newspapers around New England. His topic for this session is “Beyond Perennials: Using Stone, Woody Plants, Art and Whimsy in the Garden.” The public is welcomed to attend at a cost of $5, payable in cash at the door.

Organized in April 1962, the mission of the Peterborough Garden Club is to encourage and stimulate interest in the beautification of home and public properties and to study and share information on gardening, horticulture, conservation, flower-arranging and related topics.  New members are welcomed to join.  For information, visit peterboroughgardenclub.org.
