One must sympathize with Chris Balch’s recent letter (Time Has Run Ledger-Transcript, June 13) bemoaning the lack of progress by President Biden and the Democratic Party in failing to address sufficiently the problems of climate change. However, that Balch can no longer “support the Democratic administration” presents an even larger problem: the only other viable political party in this country believes climate change to be a Democratic hoax. One of its major candidates, Governor DeSantis, forbade any member of his administration to even use the phrase “climate change” in either speech or written word.
