On Friday, April 12, at 7 p.m. at Peterborough Community Theatre, the Peterborough Recycling Center Advisory Committee is sponsoring the Emmy-winning documentary "The Story Of Plastic." 

Directed by DeiaSchlosberg and presented by "The Story Of Stuff" Project, the film documents plastic pollution and what it calls the false solution of plastic recycling. "The Story Of Plastic" presents a timeline of global plastic pollution and the role played by the oil and gas industry in developing the narrative. 

The movie is free. A question-and-answer session will follow the film with a panel of experts on the subject. This is a zero-waste event, so attendees should bring thei own sustainable water container and bowl for popcorn.
