Conant girls’ tennis lost 9-0 to Bishop Brady in both teams' first match of the season Tuesday. Conant singles players Nobley Walker, Jessica Yap, Grace Lewis, Riley Goddard, Caroline Rockhill and Emily Lewis struggled to get a few games, but each had games that went to deuce and had long points, according to coach Glo Morison. Both Rockhill and Lewis were sophomores playing in their first tennis matches.

Highlights from the doubles teams of Walker and Lewis, Yap and Goddard and Rockhill and Sabina Smith included some volleys by Goddard in second doubles and Rockhill running down lots of balls in third doubles.

Conant is scheduled to play Wednesday at home against Monadnock and plays Friday at home against Kearsarge.
