The Jaffrey Civic Center will host its third annual Heart of the Arts Gala Art Auction Saturday, April 27, at 6:30 p.m., with a free artist preview reception Saturday, April 20, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

This semiformal ticketed event will feature artists from the region who contributed 76 pieces to the auction. Artists receive a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their art, with the rest going to support the civic center. The event will include a live auction, when artist and auctioneer Harold French will auction off a portion of the art.

In addition to the juried live auction, there will also be a virtual silent auction, which will open at least a week prior to the gala. Evelien Bachrach as will serve as juror. Foray Event Catering will be returning with a collection of hors d’oeuvres and desserts, and wine and treats will also be available.

This year, the event will help support operations while the civic center is undergoing a two-year facility improvement project. Tickets $40 for one and $60 for two. To buy tickets, sign up to be a sponsor or a volunteer and find the silent auction slideshow, go to bit.ly/3IZLEM1.
