Jaffrey kicks off Earth Week April 16

Jaffrey will kick off Earth Week with a free community celebration on Tuesday, April 16, the first day of Earth Week.

Jaffrey Climate Initiative and the Jaffrey Conservation Commission will host a family event at the United Church of Jaffrey, 54 Main St., from 5 to 7 p.m. featuring a zero-waste potluck (people should bring their own dish, cup and utensils and food or beverage to share) and music by the local band Kota. State Rep Lucius Parshall, former representative and Marlborough Energy Committee Chair Marge Shepardson and Dublin UCC energy advocate Bob Meissner will talk about initiatives at the state and grassroots levels to address local concerns, including extended producer responsibility. 

On-site child care will be available by reservation. Reservations are recommended to jaffreyclimate@gmail.com.
