With Reuben Lyons, winner of the first two Monadnock Regional Milers Winter Chiller races of the season, at a wedding in Florida, a new winner was guaranteed for Saturday’s race in Temple.

Nels Traffie of New Ipswich took top honors in his first race of the season, covering the four miles in 26 minutes, 54 seconds. Leanne Bennett of Mason was tops among the women, finishing eighth overall in a time of 33:22.

The next event in the series is Saturday, March 24, at Elevation PT in Peterborough. Race entry is $5, with registration opening at 8 a.m. and racing at 9 a.m.
