The St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry in Greenville has received donations of Easter dinner main dishes to help ease the costs for residents in the area.

Director Kevin Little said the donations were “significant” and came from local businesses and farms.

The Country Mile in Greenville donated 54 full-sized hams, and Old Homestead Farm in New Ipswich donated its farm-raised turkeys.

In order to accommodate as many families as possible, Bator Farm donated its services to halve 30 of the donated hams, which will go to smaller households, making a total of 84 hams available for families this Easter.

“We have some really generous businesses,” Little said. “What awesome teamwork and generous companies and families in our community. Thank you very much for all you continue to do helping others.”

St. Vincent de Paul provides regular service to about 60 families in the area. Though located in the Sacred Heart Church in Greenville, it services families in the surrounding area, including New Ipswich, Temple and Mason.
