It’s going to be a busy weekend on the athletics front as ConVal and Conant high schools will host their annual homecoming festivities.

There will be games both Friday and Saturday at ConVal, with five teams in action, while the Conant squads will make for a busy Saturday in Jaffrey.

The ConVal girls soccer team will kickoff the slate of games on Friday at 3:30 p.m. against Merrimack Valley, with field hockey hosting St. Thomas at 4 p.m.

Volleyball will look to grab its first win of the season when it hosts Plymouth at 5:15 p.m.

The football team will try and snap its two-game, shutout losing streak when they play host to Alvirne under the lights at 7 p.m.

The boys soccer team, who was still undefeated and had yet to allow a goal as of press time, will play Pelham at 1 p.m. as the only game on Saturday.

Its rivalry Saturday for the Orioles with two games against Mascenic in the schedule.

Field hockey will look to get a little revenge for its one-goal loss last weekend at Mascenic’s homecoming. The same can be said for the boys soccer team, who square off with the Vikings at 3 p.m. fresh off a 2-0 defeat to Mascenic on Saturday.

The Conant girls soccer team takes on Derryfield in the middle game at 1 p.m.

Add in the cross-country meet on Thursday and a home golf match Friday afternoon, and all the fall teams will be in action for homecoming weekend.
