Rollover in Francestown Tuesday

A Peterborough resident was injured in a rollover in Francestown Tuesday morning, and charges of negligent driving are pending.

Police and fire personnel were summoned to Old County Road N. at 7:17 a.m., where a 2000 Jeep Cherokee driven by Kyle Shearer, 19, of Peterborough, had lost control, left the road, and rolled over. Shearer was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries to his face, Officer Fred Douglas said. Subsequent investigation determined the vehicle had been traveling at excessive speeds and the driver would be facing charges of negligent driving, he said, and the vehicle is likely totaled.
