Folk Music Society announces schedule

As Peterborough Folk Music Society wraps up its 20th year, it has announced concerts in the fall featuring musicians who have a long history of playing The Folkway, the legacy and part of the reason PFMS exists today. These musicians played to a room of never more than 80 people back in those days. In our 20 years as PFMS, they have become well known in the folk music world and now fill the 235 seat theater with loyal patrons and lovers of their music.

Tom Rush will perform with special guests Seth Glier and Joe Nerney on Saturday, Oct. 15. Jonathan Edwards will appear on Friday, Nov. 11, and John Gorka will be in concert with special guest Antje Duvekot on Friday, Dec. 2.

All concerts will be held at the Peterborough Players theater at 8 p.m.

In years to come, Peterborough Folk will be bringing to the Monadnock region more and more younger as well as new-to-our-stage musicians. Seth Glier, Joe Nerney and Antje Duvekot will be opening shows in the fall to introduce these newer talents to local audiences.

Concerts will be presented at Bass Hall in the Monadnock Center for History and Culture as well as the Players theater to accomodate various audience capacities.
