A Greenville woman has been charged with DWI after a crash Friday that sent her to the hospital, according to police.

Dillan Odom-Camirand, 24, was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital and later UMass Medical in Worcester, Massachusetts, after suffering head and spinal injuries in the crash.

At 1:18 a.m., Odom-Camirand was driving a 1997 Volvo 850 westbound on Turnpike Road in Sharon when she drove off the right side of the road, driving down an embankment and striking a large rock and later a utility pole.

Odom-Camirand’s vehicle broke the utility pole and dislodged the rock.

Eversource was called to the scene to fix the downed wires and poles. The road was closed until 6:30 a.m. for repairs.

The car ended up on its left side with serious undercarriage, front end, and roof damage. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene, police said.

Police determined that alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the crash.

Odom-Camirand was arrested at Monadnock Community Hospital.

She was processed, released, and given an Aug. 23 court date.
