Chamber offers free business training seminar

The Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce will hold a free winter marketing and customer service training session on Nov. 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. in Bass Hall at the Monadnock Center for History and Culture.

The training class, held in cooperation with the New Hampshire Division of Travel & Tourism Development is offered to all tourism and retail related businesses in the Greater Peterborough area. Each training session is customized to give participants a variety of topics and tourism trends that will help them obtain the tools needed to improve their job performance and exceed the needs of visitors to the region.

Topics in training program will include the Division of Travel of Travel Development’s mission and New Hampshire brand identity, welcome and information center leads, niche markets, trade shows, press and trade familiarization, tour, media coverage and public relations.  

The seminar will also cover greeting the foreign client, TripAdvisor, Yelp and social media reviews and responses and general tourism customer service etiquette.

Only 24 seats are available and preregistration is required.
