A Massachusetts man accused of robbing the TD Bank in Rindge on Friday has been captured by police.

Vincent M. Torraco, 25, of Athol, was placed into custody by police in Huntersville, North Carolina, according to a press release from Rindge Police Chief Todd Muilenberg. Torraco had been exhibiting suspicious behavior outside a local McDonalds when police discovered active warrants out of Rindge and Gardner, Massachusetts for robberies of two different TD Banks.

“The Rindge Police Department is working with several other jurisdictions and the FBI to complete our investigation and assist others with theirs,” said Muilenberg in the release.

Last Friday, Rindge police were called to the TD Bank in the Market Basket plaza after a white male suspect, now believed to be Torraco, entered the bank at 2:27 p.m. and demanded money from a teller with a written note. Muilenberg said there were no threats of violence during the incident.

The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money from the cash drawer, and the suspect left the bank without incident. There were no injuries reported.
