An Antrim man has pleaded guilty to indecent exposure/lewdness after he attempted to solicit sex from a minor who was actually an undercover Jaffrey police officer, court documents say.

Peter Vaillancourt, 48, was given 360 days in jail, half of which will be suspended for three years pending good behavior. Vaillancourt was also given a 17 day pretrial credit.

Vaillancourt will also serve two years of probation following his release and has been court ordered to register as a sex offender.

Charges of possession of a child sexual abuse image, manufacturing a child sexual abuse image, computer services prohibited, and indecent exposure/lewdness have been dropped.

Jaffrey police said Vaillancourt “communicated online with who he believed was an underage female and solicited sexual acts,” in a press release following Vaillancourt turning himself into the department on Jan. 24.

Vaillancourt was a Hillsborough resident at the time of his arrest in January.
