David Breitman latest Electric Earth concert

Electric Earth Concerts will present David Breitman on the fortepiano on Monday, Aug. 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the Townhouse in Peterborough. In addition to mostly Mozart, he will perform works by Haydn and C.P.E. Bach.

One of America’s premier exponents of the historical piano, Breitman rings his characteristic mix of intellect, virtuosity and poetry to a program of classical repertoire. Breitman performed Schubert’s song cycle, Winterreise with baritone Thomas Meglioranza for EEC in 2019, and was acclaimed baritone Sanford Sylvan’s long-time collaborator. Breitman directs the Historical Performance Program at Oberlin’s Conservatory of Music.

In order to share the concerts with as many as possible and so that everyone will feel safe and comfortable, Electric Earth suggest masks and will arrange the seats to accommodate social distancing. Admission is $30, payable online or at the door. Students may attend for free.
