Project Shakespeare plans to present Romeo & Juliet at Aldworth Manor in Harrisville on Aug. 2, before taking the production to England.

The Jaffrey-based youth theater company has been invited by the Royal Shakespeare Company to perform their 2017 production of Romeo & Juliet on Aug. 12 at their outdoor theatre, The Dell, in Stratford-upon-Avon, England.

This is Project Shakespeare’s second time performing at The Dell. In 2014 the company performed their production of Hamlet.

Aldworth Manor is a historic estate located at 148 Aldworth Manor Road, Harrisville. Tickets are $30 for adults/$15 for students and seniors and includes a gourmet picnic dinner.

The venue opens at 5:30 p.m. Performance begins at 6 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket to enjoy the play performed on the south lawn facing a majestic balcony – perfect for the young Juliet.

Tickets may be purchased in advance using a credit card by calling (603) 491-5956. Tickets may be purchased with cash or check at the door.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Project Shakespeare’s trip to England.

The cast includes: Connor Ahern, Christopher Commander, Abigail Hampson, Aidan Lanphier, Helen Martynuska, Tor Petrov, Gabrielle Ramsden, Grace Ramsden, Anna Taylor, Arianna Wentworth, Indigo Wolf and Kali Zaffrann. Deborah Shakespeare Thurber directs this production.
