Monadnock International Film Festival will show two free films on Sunday, April 28, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Mascoma Bank, a long time supporter of the prestigious film festival.

“We love the idea of supporting a free family film program, says Sue Silver, VP of Keene’s Mascoma Bank. “It is a perfect fit for our mission as a bank to serve the needs of our community and customers first.”

Two feature length animated films will be screened at Keene Cinemas on Sunday, April 28. The first film starts at 9:45 a.m., the 2016 Academy Award-nominated film from Brazil, “Boy and the World.” It will be followed at 11:30 a.m. by Studio Ghibli’s beloved animated film, “Spirited Away,” winner of the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2001.

No tickets are needed, but seating is limited, so first come, first served.

This is the first year that MONIFF has added film screenings on Sunday at Keene Cinemas. For more information about both of these films and the full program lineup and schedule.
