Ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel cinematic universe, Avengers: Infinity War will be screened at Peterborough Community Theatre’s Movie Club on Monday.

The showing will be introduced by guest co-hosts Matt Martin, a film, television and media arts major at Quinnipiac University, and John Martin, ConVal student and film-buff extraordinaire, at 6:15 p.m.; The film begins at 6:30 p.m.

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

The film is rated PG-13 and has a run time of 2 hours, 29 minutes.

There is no fee to be a member of the PCT Movie Club; people do need to purchase a movie ticket the night of the discussion.
