Monadnock International Film Festival is celebrating this year’s festival with a first-ever Public Launch Party in Peterborough, Tuesday, April 3. The free event will give attendees a sneak peek at this year’s lineup of documentaries and feature films.

The launch kicks off at 5:30-6:30 at Cooper’s Hill Public House on School Street. Patrons may purchase drinks, and enjoy complimentary appetizers before moving next door to the historic Peterborough Community Theatre where they will view trailers for some of the dozens of films that will show during the annual film festival. This year the festival runs April 19-21 in Keene, and April 22 in Peterborough.

Peterborough Community Theatre owner, Carol Nelson, said she’s looking forward to being a part of the MONIFF launch party and expects a full house.

“MONIFF is a perfect fit for our theatre,” Nelson said. “We’ve been showing the MONIFF Best of Fest films for years, but there are still people who don’t know about this wonderful film festival. Hopefully the Peterborough Launch Party will reach some new people.”

Special discounted full-festival passes will be available the night of the launch only. Attendees will save 25% if they purchase a pass that night. Their will also be raffle prizes.
