The NH Center for Nonprofits’ annual Nonprofit Leadership Summit will be held Sept. 19 in Concord.

Joan Garry will be the keynote speaker at the summit. Garry works with nonprofits across the country and reaches thousands of nonprofit board and staff leaders through her blogs and podcasts. Garry will speak about the call for leadership at this moment in time.

“While many people see the societal disruption we are experiencing as a challenge for nonprofits in meeting our missions, I see it quite differently,” Garry said. “Nonprofits have a real opportunity to step up and illustrate what real leadership looks like.”

Garry will discuss her views on the nonprofit sector, and how its unique model of shared leadership can be transformative.

“This summit is an opportunity for all of us to reflect upon our own leadership and how we can work together to advance our communities,” said Kathleen Reardon, CEO of the NH Center for Nonprofits.

The summit will also feature breakout sessions to explore economic trends and issues impacting nonprofits. Kenneth Johnson of the Carsey School of Public Policy will share data and insights on New Hampshire’s changing demographic trends. AnnMarie French and Phil Sletten of the NH Fiscal Policy Institute will take a look at how the state budget impacts nonprofits and the communities that they serve. Alan Cantor of Alan Cantor Consulting will explore fundraising in this era of wealth disparity.

The Nonprofit Leadership Summit will take place on Thursday, Sept. 19 at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Learn more and register to attend at
