The Shakespeare Gang will present “Romeo and Ethel: the Pirate’s Daughter” on Saturday during Children and the Arts Day

The 20-minute play will be performed at 2:15 p.m. in the Unitarian Church.

The sketch is a parody of “Romeo and Juliet,” presented as William Shakespeare’s lost first draft, before Romeo and Juliet became a tragedy. “Romeo and Ethel” is created by and features a cast of teens from the ConVal and Conant school districts. The cast includes Connor Ahern, Cheyenne Heinselmen, Diego Juarez, Patrick Lacroix, Helen Martynuska, Ella McCullough, Eve Pierce, Abby Theberge and Katie Whitaker.
