After being a man down for nearly four months, the Greenville Select Board will be meeting with a potential candidate at their Wednesday meeting.

Scott Tenney, the town’s current building inspector, has expressed interest in filling the seat left vacant in March by former board member Steve Spratt, according to Town Administrator Tara Sousa.

The board received a letter of interest from Tenney, and has invited him to the board’s upcoming meeting on Wednesday to discuss his possible appointment to the board, said Sousa.

The board’s remaining members, Doug Reardon and Chair Carla Mary, have the power to appoint a third member of the board until March election, when the position will be placed on the ballot for the remainder of the term.

The Select Board has been seeking letters of interest from people who wish to serve on the board, asking that interested residents send a letter to the board marked “open Selectman’s position” to Town of Greenville, PO Box 343 and include any relevant experience and why you would like to serve.
