A three-vehicle accident in Dublin on Monday closed Route 101 for about an hour and sent one man to the hospital.

The accident took place around 4:30 p.m. on the turn on Route 101 near the town cemetery, according to NH State Trooper Jay LaPointe.

“The wind was blowing snow off Dublin Lake,” said LaPointe. “The roads were mostly dry, but there was a patch of snow about a half inch to one inch thick around the corner that had built up.”

A 2010 Toyota, driven by James Wood, 65, of Peterborough, was driving eastbound when it was struck by a an Audi, driven by Joseph Ferguson, 41, of Berlin.

Ferguson had lost control due to the road conditions.

Unable to stop in time, a 2006 Saturn, driven by Celia Pratt, 20, of Peterborough, struck the back of Wood’s Toyota.

All three vehicles were towed from the scene, the Audi and Toyota due to heavy damage. Wood was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
