Halloween events around the region

The Monadnock region will be host to many fun Halloween events in the next week. Trick or treat hours listed are for Oct. 31.

Antrim

Trick or treat hours – 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Oct. 26: The Antrim Tuttle Library will host a spooky spirit walk at 6:30 p.m. Attendees will explore Antrim’s Main Street on a walking downtown tour. Meet at the library at 6:30 p.m. with your flashlights. 

Bennington

Trick or treat hours – 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Dublin

Trick or treat hours – 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Francestown

Trick or treat hours – 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Oct. 31: A trunk or treat will be held at the Francestown Town Hall parking lot. There will also be hayrides. 

Greenfield

Trick or treat hours – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Greenville

Trick or treat hours – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Hancock

Trick or treat hours – 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Jaffrey

Trick or treat hours – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Oct. 31 – The Jaffrey Public Library is giving out free books to young readers from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the library’s lawn.

Oct. 31 – TEAM Jaffrey is hosting a trick or treat on the town from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Free maps and treat bags are available at the town common bandstand, Jaffrey Public Library, TD Bank, and Rite Aid. 

Lyndeborough

Trick or treat hours – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Mason

Trick or treat hours – 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Oct. 31 – The Mason Congregational Church is sponsoring tailgate trick or treating from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Each parked car will serve as a stop for children to collect candy. Parents can park in town and police parking areas and safely walk with their children along the line of cars tailgating in the church parking lot. New Ipswich

Trick or treat hours – 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

Oct. 28 – The New Ipswich Congregational Church is sponsoring a trunk or treat from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be a contest to see who can decorate their trunk best, where the kids will judge at the end of the line of cars. There will also be a bonfire afterwards with hot cider, cocoa, and smores. 

Peterborough

Trick or treat hours – 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Oct. 26 – MAxT will demonstrate their new laser cutter rotary attachment and celebrate Halloween with the ancient craft of laser pumpkin etching. Visit www.maxtmakerspace.org to register for the event, which is $10 and begins at 5:30 p.m.

Oct. 26 – The Peterborough Town Library will host a Goblins and Giggles story time at 6:30 p.m. Stories will be told by professional storyteller Rona Leventhal.After the story time, join us in the meeting hall for Halloween games and yummy snacks.

Oct. 28 – The Peterborough Recreation Department and several downtown businesses will host Boo Time from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Rindge

Trick or treat hours – 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

Temple

Trick or treat hours – 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Oct. 31 – Temple’s Recreation Department will be host trunk or treating in the center of town from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Wilton

Trick or treat hours – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
