Villi Poni Farm in Jaffrey is celebrating International Heritage Breeds Day and the birthdays of five of its ponies with an open house.

The open house will be held on May 27 from 11-4 p.m. and will feature pony rides, tours, a kissing booth, and more.

“We have five ponies celebrating birthdays in May, one of which is our new Colt, Lucky Ace,” said Emily Chetkowski, Executive Director of Villi Poni Farm. “He is turning one year old. So we are celebrating all of their birthdays at the open barn.”

Villi Poni Farm, a not-for-profit 501c3 corporation, was established to provide a safe haven for Newfoundland ponies, a critically endangered species that has dwindled in population. The farm’s mission is to save the breed from extinction through careful breeding and public education.

The open house is one of many events at or aboyt the farm this summer. Fror more information about events at Villi Poni Farm, go to www.newfoundlandponies.org/calendar-of-events.html.
