Sean McClure wasn’t about to lose his senior game. The lanky lefty took the hill against Derryfield on Tuesday and pitched a complete game for the Wilton-Lyndeborough win.

McClure helped his own cause in the third when he drove in two runs — Jake Levert and Zack Robillard — with a single. The same thing happened again in the fourth, and WLC took a 4-0 lead into the sixth inning.

Derryfield plated three runs there, but couldn’t tie it up, and McClure would knock in LeVert one more time and then score on a play at the plate after Shane Partridge single to give WLC a 6-3 lead in the seventh.

McClure allowed two more runs in the final frame, but his sliding score was the difference, and WLC won 6-5.

WLC (7-5) was schedule to travel to Sunapee (13-0) yesterday after press time. The Warriors host Farmington (3-6) Friday at 4 p.m.
