“Chasing Ice” film screens in Peterborough on April 4
There will be a New Hampshire film premier of “Chasing Ice” on April 4 at 7 p.m. at the Peterborough Unitarian Universalist Church at 25 Main St.
“Chasing Ice” is the story of one man’s mission to change the tide of history by gathering undeniable evidence of our changing planet. In the spring of 2005, acclaimed photographer James Balog headed to the Artic on a tricky assignment for National Geographic. Within months of that first trip, the photographer had conceived the boldest expedition of his life: The Extreme Ice Survey. With a band of young adventurers in tow, Balog began eploying revolutionary time-lapse cameras across the brutal Arctic to capture a multiyear record of the world’s changing glaciers.
