Bike rideo, police open house Saturday

A bike safety rodeo and Greenfield Police Department open house will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Greenfield Police Station.

Kids ages 5-10 are invited to learn bike safety skills, and have their bikes checked out and adjusted by an experienced bike mechanic. Helmet fitting and helmets will also be offered.

Prizes will be drawn, including a new mountain bike donated by Eastern Mountain Sports, two Anytime Ski Passes from Crotched Mountain, bike baskets from Peterboro Basket Company, and more.

A ‘Blue Light’ escorted ride will conclude the rodeo.

The event is sponsored by the Greenfield police and the Greenfield Brownies Girl Scout Troop.

Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center, American Steel and Precast Erectors, and Spring Pond Farms are also contributors.
