Estate planning seminar at library

On May 8 from 10 a.m. to noon, the Peterborough Town Library will host a seminar on estate planning, led by attorney Edward Beasley, former chair of the American Bar Association’s Elder Law Committee.

Beasley will discuss how to protect your home and lifetime savings from a prolonged nursing home stay, how to avoid probate and N.H. estate tax, as well as strategies for passing assets safely and efficiently. He will also discuss a new law that says existing powers of attorney and trusts can make children personally liable for nursing home care. Beasley will be joined by financial planner Gregory Gagne of Affinity Investment Group, who will share financial planning strategies. There will be ample time for questions.

This seminar is free, but advance registration is requested. To attend this seminar, please call 1-800-370-5010.
