Business programs get accreditation

Franklin Pierce University has been granted first-time accreditation status by the Board of Commissioners of the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education for its Business programs — Master’s and Baccalaureate — offered through the College of Graduate and Professional Studies and the College at Rindge.

CGPS offers undergraduate Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting-Finance, Management, and Marketing for the adult learner that can be taken either partially or fully online, and M.B.A. programs in Leadership, Energy & Sustainability Studies, Human Resource Management, Health Administration, Information Technology, and Sports Management.

The College at Rindge offers undergraduate Bachelor of Science degrees for the traditional student in Accounting-Finance, Management, Marketing, and Sports & Recreation Management.

Franklin Pierce University has been regionally accredited for quite some time by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges for its institutional quality as a whole. The recent IACBE accreditation, on the other hand, focuses specifically on business and management programs, and is nationally recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

CGPS and the College at Rindge went through a rigorous self-evaluation process and a comprehensive, independent peer review. Compliance with the Accreditation Principles of the IACBE was demonstrated in such areas as curriculum, faculty, resources, outcomes assessment, strategic planning, internal and external relationships, scholarly and professional activities, and educational innovation. In addition, CGPS and the College at Rindge demonstrated a commitment to continuous improvement, excellence in business education, and advancing academic quality in their business programs and operations.

The International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education is the leader in mission-driven and outcomes-based programmatic accreditation in business and management education for student-centered colleges, universities, and other higher education institutions throughout the world. The IACBE’s mission is to promote and recognize excellence in business education in institutions of higher education worldwide, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, through specialized accreditation of business programs. Franklin Pierce University is honored to join the ranks of the institutions recognized by the IACBE.
