Hyndsight Vision Systems sponsors rowing team

Hyndsight Vision Systems of Peterborough sponsored the Merrimac River Rowing Association of Lowell, Mass., at the Royal Henley Regatta held July 3 to 7 in Oxfordshire England. The four-plus MRRA crew members included UNH graduates Mike Poreba and Jon Dwyer, Franklin Pierce graduate Rich Connell and University of Massachusetts graduates Tim Cotreau and coxswain Sarah Ivey.

As a tune-up race the team competed at the Reading Town Regatta, winning the Open 4+ event. The team made its way into the quarterfinals at the curvy 13-kilometer Henley race on the Thames River. The MRRA team was defeated by less than three-quarters of a boat length by Taurus Boat Club from Harpendon Herts, U.K.

Hyndsight Vision Systems manufactures a camera and monitor designed to be used on rowing shells, motor or sail boats or other applications that require a clear field of vision.

The Hyndsight Vision Systems products are wireless, require no installation, provide sunlight readable screens and custom lens to provide an accurate vision field to help prevent collisions with other boats, floating or stationary obstacles.

Hyndsight Vision Systems corporate offices, assembly and distribution center are located at 59 Pine St. The company will release its products for commercial launch in the fourth quarter of 2013. The products are patent pending.
