Auto repair business is reopening on Sawmill Road
GREENFIELD — This week, Josh Fulton of Greenfield will be reopening an auto repair business on Sawmill Road.
Under the new name of Fulton’s Auto, the garage will offer general automotive needs, including diagnostics and state inspections, as well as welding and fabrication services and trailer repairs.
Fulton has 18 years of mechanical and fabrication experience in automotive and commercial vehicles and trailers. He will be the owner and mechanic for the garage.
In an email to the Ledger-Transcript, Fulton said he had worked with his father, Barry Fulton, since he was 16. Barry Fulton owned two shops in Greenfield, both called Fulton’s Repair Service — one was automotive and the other commercial repair. Josh Fulton managed the automotive shop for five years until 2011, when his father closed the automotive repair business to focus on the commercial shop.
Fulton said he took a job repairing tools at GWY Inc. in Greenfield.
“It was a great place to work, but I began to really miss my customers and the work I did,” Fulton said. “So, I decided to re-open the garage and call it Fulton’s Auto. The location is still the same, 26 Sawmill Rd. in Greenfield. I’m really looking forward to seeing my previous customers and meeting new ones.”
The business will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 547-8300 for more information.
