Man wins $75K prize
Tri-State ticket bought at Roy’s
A Greenfield man took home a $75,000 check on Friday, after cashing in a winning ticket in the $100,000 Tri-State Gimme 5 lottery.
Ronald Dubois declined to comment about his windfall when contacted by the Ledger-Transcript.
Maura McCann, director of marketing for the N.H. Lottery, said a portion of the $100,000 payout is automatically withheld for tax purposes when payouts are made.
Dubois bought the ticket at Roy’s Market in Peterborough. The market will be eligible for a $1,000 incentive prize for selling the winning ticket, according to McCann.
Gimme 5 players choose five numbers from 1 to 39. If players match all five winning numbers, they win the top prize of $100,000. Those who match four winning numbers win $250, three matches wins $7, and two matches returns $2. Tickets cost $1 and drawings take place three times a week.
The winning numbers for the Jan. 22 drawing were: 9-14-16-22-25.
Tri-State Gimme 5 tickets have been sold in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont since May 2013. Dubois is the fifth top-prize winner from New Hampshire.
